Yesterday I posted about Idaho’s tough cannabis guidelines. Is Idaho any closer to legalizing products that are marijuana-based? What about cannabidiol (CBD) oil? I don’t think therefore.
It looks like every i receive an email solicitation offering to sell me CBD oil, ordered online and delivered by mail to my home or office week. Each such providing suggests that CBD oil is just a legal item in all states, including Idaho. I’m maybe not so certain.
Against that advertising is it reality: Idaho is just a state that is conservative has long resisted the legalization of cannabis and marijuana-related services and products. If We buy CBD oil and it’s also maybe not legal to obtain in Idaho, can I be prosecuted?
CBD hails from hemp, that will be a plant “of the genus cannabis,” as is cannabis. That simple truth is crucial because Idaho legislation defines cannabis centered on the plant genus. If it’s into the genus cannabis, it’s presumptively marijuana, control of which will be unlawful. CBD, nonetheless, contains little if any THC, the psychoactive representative in marijuana that produces a “high.” That existence of some trace level of THC can be a deal ender in Idaho given that it apparently makes the item unlawful to obtain.
Why then may be the Idaho legislature and its own governor against legalizing a THC free product which reportedly can treat medical conditions?
